Description

The Whale's Tail is an east-facing wall south of lake. This climbing area provides three sheltered routes when winds are picking up through RRCOS.

This crag faces East, so it drops into the shade by 230pm or so.
Reopened after flood damage! Details

Getting There

Rock is considerably sandier/grittier/less frictiony than on The Whale especially the crux of Jason's Argonaut. Apr 2, 2008

Great climbs on the Whale's Tail, but watch out for poison ivy at the belay station. Especially at Pockets a' Plenty belay station. Jan 23, 2008
