Singapore Climbing

Let's just get this out of the way up front: Singapore is NOT a climbing destination.

However, as Singapore is a frequent business destination and a travel hub where many of us have been stuck at one time or another, I figured we might as well put information on-line for those interested, or just stuck there by luck of the draw.

The only legal natural rock climbing in Singapore that is anything more than a sloping pebble is at a Wall called 'Dairy Farm' near Bukit Timah nature preserve. There, an old granite quarry lives out its days watching mountain bikers, day hikers, church groups and climbers spend their forlorn days wishing they lived in a country with better climbing, biking, hiking, etc... But none the less, making the best of what they have, in 90+ degree heat and 90% relative humidity.

Take an umbrella, chalk, and suitable clothing for the harsh heat and humidity.
