Description
Prescott is the epicenter of some of the finest bouldering to be had mid state. Though many of the in-town bouldering crags have been plagued with access issues for decades, I know stealthy sessions are still being had by considerate locals.
Fortunately, larger areas surround the city, and because of elevation differences you can find a place with good weather despite bad weather in the area. So whether it's granite slopers at Groom Creek, basalt pockets at Thumb Butte, or the crisp crimps of Watson Lake, chances are you will find whole areas that will leave you torched and satisfied. For a while anyway.
