Description

The Dumpster boulder is a nice little boulder that sits about 20 yards northwest of the Half Dome Boulder. The problems are all fairly moderate and it's a great little spot to warmup for the day. Plus it's always fun to climb on a freestanding boulder!

Getting There

From the base of the 500 ft. talus field walk up and towards the Half Dome boulder. Once you pass that look towards the Northwest and you'll see another boulder about 50 feet away in the trees. That's the Dumpster Boulder.

The boulder sits at the top of the talus field almost directly in the center. Pretty easy to get to once you get a feel for the area.
