Description Suggest change

Beaver Boulder is the very large boulder on the north side of Cap Rock. Three aid routes and one free route are located on the rock. There are bolts at the top of all three aid routes to set up an anchor on, and there are chains and rappel rings on top of RURP Romp for an easy rappel.

The two more difficult aid routes on the rock rely of numerous fixed heads, many of which are very sketchy. Be aware that if some of these are missing you will need to bring some up with you in order to finish the climb... or to just to relace the ones that seem to have been there for 20 years.

Getting There Suggest change

Beaver Boulder is located in the southeast corner of the intersection of Quail Springs Road and Key's View Road. Park in the Cap Rock parking lot.
