The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
To the south side of Echo Rock Proper (around and right from Heart and Sole) sits a large blockish boulder perched up high on the southwest side. This is the EBGB Block.
Several steep face climbs exist, including EBGB's (5.10d) and Jane's Getting Serious (5.12b).
