BETA PHOTO: Silencer is the leftmost route with draws hung on ...

Located in a National Forest Fee Area MORE INFO >>>

Description

"Razor climbing up a mute face". Shares anchors with Minimalist (above the anchors for Choss Fighter); and rumor has it that it is rather sandbagged for the grade if you don't go out right too far and use CF's holds.

Location

Thin face climb just left of the crack/dihedral. There is a large boulder in front of it that you can use to hang the first draw if you are pretty tall (6'+) and don't have a stick clip.

Protection

8 draws + chains (which have biners as of this posting.)

Not the best route here, but worth doing if you dig the crimps. Staying true to the bolt line is not 5.12, and definitely has harder crux moves than X. Hard start, hard finish, with total junk climbing (choss fighter) in between. This finishes on the second set of anchors, above the finish for choss fighter.

Thanks for the correction Kipp, I've updated the description. I thought the second anchor was for the route that branched off to the left, but it makes sense with the bolt above CF's anchor. As for the grade, MP only lets you put in a single grade when you add a route, so I put in what Boone gave it. I've yet to encounter a Speed route that wasn't sandbagged. Not that I've been on a ton of them.
