● The Nose
May 13, 2026 · 26 pitches. Dan and I went for the Nose in a day. Something like 13 or 14 hours, we were unclear on the start time. We ascended a fixed line on the first two pitches that Dan left the day before. I climbed the boot up to the aid pitch after Camp 5, then I climbed from the wild stance to the top. So a little more than 1/3 for the day. Dan took the rest, he was going fast. Busted out the camhook for a few places, mainly getting up into the great roof. The final bolt ladder was surprisingly strenuous.

● The Prow
Mar 13, 2026 · With norm. Big day, was a lot of fun. I had a bit of a cold. Only had 1 #4 Camelot, but would have liked another or maybe a 5. House to house 430 am to 1130 pm. This was my fourth attempt to top out the prow (and first success). First two were failed solo attempts. The third was with Steve, and ended at a soaking pitch 8 or 9. The one that starts at that stupid home made rope anchor. The prow is a great small wall. The last pitches were really fun, and the whole thing is a lot harder than the sfwc.

● The Nose
Oct 6, 2025 · 24 pitches. Lead. The Nose with Norm was a lot of fun. I was able to get over my general anxiety about the route by the time we got to camp 6. Which was 2 days and 2 nights in. What is wrong with me? We were planning to do zodiac, but got the base and saw 2 parties juuuuust starting. So, we decided to chance the nose, which was definitely the right choice. My sleeping pad had an air leak, so I spent 3 very uncomfortable nights on uncomfortable rock ledges, well, 2. On el cap tower I slept with my body under a portaledge, it was like having my body in a coffin and my head out of it. Norm took the scary pitches, so life was easy for me. Next time we need more food, more creature comforts and a ledge or 2. But probably next time will be zodiac anyway.

● West Face
Jun 6, 2025 · 6 pitches. Solo. Around 25 hrs house to house. A little too much time for a quick solo mission. I brought 6l of water and 1 Coca-Cola. I did not drink all my water, but drank stashed waters at the top and at midway ledge. Did not need beak, or talon. Used a grappling hook1 time and camp med Captain Hook. Did not use camhooks.Triples from black totem to yellow totem, single set offsets, micro nuts, offset nuts, single 3 single 4 doubles of other sizes, 6 alpine draws, 12 reg draws, 5 w rope catch thingy. Maybe 16? Hrs climbing. It was a lot, gotta get better at belays, felt extremely slow setting them up and getting stuff all organized. Gully sucks, I think it was 2.5 - 3 ish hrs to the ground. Rapping the face looked too scary, but maybe would be alright.

● Lurking Fear
Dec 7, 2024 · With Norm. Saturday - Sunday mission: 27.5 hour push. Wild. So cold, so tired, so loopy around 20-22 hrs awake. Sat at thanksgiving ledge with a party who finished octopussy. They gave us coffee.

● South Face
Oct 13, 2024 · Lead. Solo. Started maybe 5-530 am and got to the top around 440 pm, back to car at like 6:15. c2c 14ish hrs. 6 other people on the route. North dome gulley sucks, but is better than rappelling. Skipped kor roof and traverse with southern man bolt ladder and thin crack. So, hopefully next time kor roof will not be crowded. Next time leave 4 at home, bring 5 l water instead of 4, bring 21 m tag line, 70, double rack to 3, offsets, small Captain Hook, cam hooks, small and regular nuts, 6 spare biners, 2 fix kits, 2 extra lockers, mini haul bag, , maybe 10 reg draws, 2 alpine. Wag bag, lots of liquidy food, electrolyte stuff. Maybe neck lanyard to hold gri gri up and a second micro/nano or something for fix and follow on pitch 1, 2 and then the last one.
