Description Suggest change

A gem of a problem. It delivers at every stage of the climb.

Squat start with your right hand on a large, side pull jug on the right face and your left hand on the arete. Heel hook an obvious vertical feature to start. Climb up the arete and top out to the left.

Smearing your left foot near the ground, start by reaching up left to an obvious crimp rail. Next get your right foot into the crack below the starting jug (some may choose to match the crimp rail to accomplish this). Reach up to an obvious flat jug that's just over the first lip. Bring your left hand to a slopey jug to the left of your right hand placement. Work your heel up into an obvious cup and then throw to a good crimp on the tip of the next lip. Get as much height as you can on those holds so you can move your right foot to a crumbly foothold. Get your left foot on the crimp rail and then stand up, slapping the slopey top as minor assistance. From there, you'll find a jug near the crack in the boulder that will allow you to easily traverse left for an easy top out.

Location Suggest change

On the arete at the far right of the Bump Block.

Protection Suggest change

2-3 pads.
A pad on the ground in front of the arete and once against the tree are advisable to protect the difficult moves (I scratched myself up falling into the tree). You could use an additional pad to protect the final traverse, but a fall is unlikely.
