Description Suggest change

P1: A technical and gear-intensive 120' pitch. Climb the chimney (rock in first 25 feet on the right is poor in places, earning this a PG13 rating.) Protect the first 30 feet with large cams (#4 and #5 required; #4–#6 preferred). Slings to extend deep placements. Build a gear anchor at the top of the buttress to split the pitch, or push straight up past two bolts to the double cracks left of a small roof (great .1 placement here) to finish in one long pitch.

P2: A fun 5.8 mixed pitch shared with Groove.

Location Suggest change

Starts in the chimney and heads straight up at the top of buttress past two bolts, then trends right around corner to twins cracks just left of roof.

Protection Suggest change

Long first pitch requires a full double rack with a .1 and 4" and 5" though 4–6" will be preferred. 2 draws and at least a dozen or more alpines helpful. Save a .75 for exiting above chimney up and left, just before reaching first bolt.
