Private land. Although there is an established hiking trail, this cliff is on private land and needs to be treated with the utmost respect. Pick up trash, Drive and park responsibly, and treat other user groups with respect. over the past few years, the area has become overrun with tourists during the fall foliage season, much to the dismay of the locals. its important that we show ourselves, as climbers, to be a responsible and courteous user group, differentiating us from the mindless masses.
Description
Climb Deep Space 9. This is the route above that pitch. Ive listed it as a separate route rather than as a second pitch because it takes gear.
Pull through the overlap above and slightly left of the belay and move up and left on black rock. step around left onto a golden granite face and proceed to the second roof. place a cam then find a good jug at the lip of the roof. set your feet and deadpoint to a hold up and left. climb onto the face above, then trend rightwards aiming for a roof crack near the top of the cliff. make weird tricky moves to gain the roof crack and gain a tree anchor at the top of the clliff.
