The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
CLASSIC. Climb the striking split dike splitter. Crux near end. Be cautious at the end, there is some hollow rock and you want to be smart about your gear. I've climbed this a few times now trying to clean it up.
Cleaned many small chockstones out of the bottom part of the splitter first day.
