Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

Road side crag says it all. Very easy access from Split Rock Road. Good climbing on both East and West sides of the road. Excellent shade on the east side under a small rock lean-to by the easier climbs.

Getting There

About half way to split rock are small crags on the east and west side of the road. Park in a small pullout on the right and the approachs are between 5-10 mins tops. You can see the climbs from the pullout.
