Description
One of the best routes of its grade. Varied climbing involving crack climbing, steep roofs, fun jug hauling and technical face climbing.
P1 (20/10b, 40m): Climb a short crack and continue up the face for about 20m, trending diagonally left to the start of the handrail traverse. Start railing left. Halfway through reach up to a higher rail, place a #4 and run it out to a perfectly flat stance around the corner (it gets easier on the last meters). Some people split this pitch in two, but if you extend your pieces around the switchover from the face to the rail, rope drag is very manageable.
P2 (21/10c, 30m): Climb up the intimidating but juggy crack for 10m (20). Then step right into the shallow scoop and climb up to and through the small roof (21). Set up a semi-hanging belay at any convenient place after the roof.
P3 (16/5.8, 40m): Fun jug hauling to the top. Climb wherever feels right.
