Description Suggest change

Update 5/22/24: The large starting flake recently ripped off the wall and is no more. This climb essentially no longer exists as the only viable starting option is to start as for 'Big n' Tasty' (which was the stand start to this climb). The new start is: Start standing with a good edge for the right hand and the left hand on a sloper at the same level. Power up into a pair of good crimps and and then finish as for the description below. The new start is probably around v7.

Start sitting as for 'Big Cast' with both hands matched on the big flake. Climb 'Big Cast' until reaching the good pair of crimps at around 10 feet and then traverse right on a series of poor holds to reach the faint arete feature. Use this to gain a good sloper above and finish out easily.

Long and sustained with an insecure finish over an uneven landing, this climb will test you both physically and mentally. It's helpful to have a bunch of pads and a spotter! A bit too sharp and contrived to warrant three stars in my opinion, but a quality and worthwhile climb nonetheless.

Location Suggest change

Located on the north face of the boulder, this problem starts the same as 'Big Cast'.

Protection Suggest change

A number of pads are needed for this line as it covers a lot of ground and the landing is less than ideal in multiple spots.
