Description Suggest change

This is the original start to 'Equinox'. Start standing with the left hand using a poor crystal sloper at 5 feet and the right hand on a small crimp sidepull at the same level (on the right side of the arete). Pull on and use a good edge to gain the slopey lip above, following it as it angles leftwards and topping out at the apex.

A brilliant climb in its own right and a good alternative to the sit for a couple reasons. One, this climb tends to be less affected by the wetness/dampness that can often plague the starting the holds of the sit. Two, it is less conditions dependent which makes it a good option on the days that the crystal sloper feels terrible.

Location Suggest change

This problem is located on the northeastern arete of the boulder.

Protection Suggest change

A few pads are helpful as this problem is tall and covers a lot of ground.
