Description Suggest change

Four pitches of easy-to-moderate ice, each separated by a short hike.

The first pitch climbs the right side of the Lower Falls' amphitheater, most of which is low-angle with plentiful rests. WI2–3.

Pitches two and three are smaller, shorter, and easier. Keep hiking upstream until you hit the first, then repeat. WI2.

The fourth pitch—the Upper Falls—is accessed by continuing to hike up, along the brook, crossing the blazed trail. The left side is generally stepped and easier; the right a bit steeper. WI2–3

Location Suggest change

This route begins at the end of the Lower Falls Trail, about 0.65 miles from the trailhead, and climbs the low-angle ice on the climber's right side of the flow. The top-out of pitch one—and the lines on the left side of the amphitheater—is accessed by following the Upper Falls Trail (a left at the sign instead of a right) to the Lower Falls View Loop Trail (also signed).
