Description Suggest change

The climb ascends the blunt arête halfway between Dark Corner and Monkey Fingers.

Mark Nord worked this route off and on for several years and finally sent shortly after Ethan. Being unaware of the FA, Mark proposed the name Illumination Arete, but also likes Ethan's Monkey Paws. It is like bouldering on a rope. There are two hard sequences. A tall person may be able to reach the top hold without doing the top hard sequence, which would lower the grade two or three notches.

Location Suggest change

Start below the blunt arête halfway between Monkey Fingers and Dark Corner in the Aid Box sector of Great Falls Park.

Protection Suggest change

Top rope requires long webs to avoid a possible long swing.
