ALL SEASONAL CLIMBING CLOSURES FOR CLIMBING AND SLACKLINING WILL BE LIFTED ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH THIS WEEK.
THANKS, EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN OBSERVING RESTRICTIONS DURING THE NESTING SEASON!
There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Description
Start up fun easy climbing on perfect features. Clip and begin trending left towards the arete. Use a combination of arete holds and feet on the face to reach an obvious pocket. From here, make a thoughtful tricky move back onto the face, latch the anchor jugs, and clip the chains.
There's a second pitch at .11- that continues up the left face using a hidden hold. You can't see the first bolt of the second pitch until you pull around the corner.
