Moro Rock (SEKI) and Chimney Rocks usually have nesting closures every year from April 1 to August 15.
As of April 2016, all routes are open to climbing.
Description
This is a memorial route and the name pays tribute to a legend. Climb Hoppy's Favorite, from the top follow the steep snow through the trees to arrive at the base of the dumpster. Follow the obvious line through the mixed terrain and arrive at a mixed crux which will unlock the ~60 degree neve gully. If you belay from the base, you will have to simul for a bit to reach the top of the gully. From the top of the gully, head left and around a large bergschrund and then follow the snow slopes on the back side to the summit of the Watchtower. We rapped down moonage to get back down.
