Description
Sole Sacrifice is an often overlooked piece of immaculate granite which climbs only a couple pitches through some of the best rock Cal Domes has to offer.
Pitch 1. (5.10) Climb up following a small dike past 6 bolts before traversing up and right to the two bolt anchor.
Pitch 2. (5.10d) Meander your way up through pure friction between black knobs which often offer less than desirable stances. Some meandering is required to negotiate this pitch as one can often find themselves meandering off into the abyss. 8 bolts to the anchor.
The old second pitch anchor in the Cottrell guide no longer exists and has been replaced with a single bolt continuing the route past one more bolt to another anchor. This route has been newly equipped in 2012 by the ASCA.
