Description Suggest change

P1 5c: find first bolt hidden behind a tree and climb straight up slabs to the bolts.
P2 5a: trend left up easier and more vegetated ground for a short pitch to the second chains.
P3 6a: follow bolts left.
P4 6b: marked by bolts close to belay, trend left through a technical crux and then up to a tree. Follow easier ground to chains.
P5 5a: continue up heavy vegetation to a rap station. Build anchor here or traverse hard left along ledge systems to a double bolt anchor below the second 6b pitch (recommended).
P6 6b: Head up blank slab trending right through crumbly rock (may seep after rains), and then left through a flake system to chains.
P7 6a+: head straight up slabs last bolts to the top.

Very sunny due to the fact the cliff is south-facing. If climbing on a warm day, make sure to bring extra water and start early!

Location Suggest change

Follow the trail along the base of Ilinac towards the right side of the cliff. Freedom is the furthest right bolted line and ascends a series of ledges that can be seen from the Ilinac parking lot.

Descent: two ropes required to rappel. We rappelled the route and found it to be difficult due to both a climbers right-trending descent line and loose rock that came down when pulling ropes. Helmets required!

Protection Suggest change

Bolts, brought some aliens and found them to be helpful in places, but didn't need any stoppers or large cams.
