Description Suggest change

Batty - 5.10a *** (110') F(12b)

Climbs the face right of Red-tail. Beginning about 10' right of that route climb up and diagonally right on mostly good rock with interesting route finding challenges. At the narrow ledge 2/3rds of the way up traverse right a few feet and continue directly up to the 2 chain anchors on the large ledge at mid face. It's possible to lower with a 60m rope (but not to the base of the route, if you take the fall line you end up at the base of the corner at the far right). After leading, probably best to belay on the good ledge at the top and rap the fall line.

(Pitch two is not yet finished.)

Location Suggest change

At the far right end of Red-tail Wall, just left of the large chimney/corner.

Protection Suggest change

Fixed - 12 bolts, needs some long draws on the bolts before the traverse to reduce rope drag. 2 chain anchors plus an extra pair of bolts on the large mid-level ledge.
