A great obvious line that catches the eye, loaded with awesome features. The climbing is engaging throughout and the bolts are just where you want them and then some, I am told.(3 bolts were added by the FA party)

This route is on the right side of the upper canyon, left of Dogfishhead

16 bolts

I didn't find anything wrong with the bolting. It's not as tightly-bolted as many of the other routes here, but that shouldn't take much away from the quality of this line. About as good as 5.11b gets. Dec 31, 2017

Several bolts were added by the FA earlier this week, which definitely makes it a 5-star route Feb 1, 2018
After 15 years, I got back on this route and I agree with Lurker. Did not see much wrong and i'm 5'.8" as far as the clips go. It was bolted 20th century style for sure, same as the Rifle/Smith Rock vert routes I was climbing a lot at the time. I can see Jeff's point if you climb more on the main wall where routes like Mesquiter, which was a bit of a heart pumper, are now fixed with permadraws.

Anyway, I added a few bolts to bring this route into the 21st century and to make Jeff give this 5 stars. However, the permadraws will have to wait until the 22nd century. Feb 4, 2018

Nice Andy, way to look out for us light weights! Feb 4, 2018
Ha! Good one Jeff. I'm sure you were just having a bad day. It happens to me often, especially after coming down from Utah and hitting the delights of Lee's Liquor.
For your description, 3 bolts were added, 16 bolts total and definitely not PG13 now. If it ever was;-)
Happy cragging mate. Feb 6, 2018
