Interesting... I've updated the name and FA accordingly. Jun 15, 2017
Interesting first ascent history and naming of this obscure route. As Leventhal tells it, way before any guidebook to the area, John Merieles and Levy FA'd this rig early on and called it "The Projects" keeping it in the "Ghetto" theme. When the late great Stainless Steve came to visit with a hand drawn topo, he noticed a route labeled as "the projects" and assumed the topo was describing a project that had yet to be redpointed. Being the first ascent enthusiast that Stainless was, he roped up, worked it, redpointed it, and gave it a name, unknowingly claiming an incorrect first ascent. He later reported it to a guide book author and the present name, incorrect as it is, has somehow stuck. Jun 9, 2017
