Description

This is the route leading up to the big roof. Please start close to the base of the Kestrel route and tiptoe across the blocks at the bottom leaving the vegetation in tact. The route rolls up an easy slab to a small roof above the 4th bolt and the crux, after a bit more you arrive under the massive roof and a set of anchors.

Location

After leaving the dense woods it is the first big roof in the clearing.

Protection

9 bolts, rap anchor under the roof

You are correct it is easier to climb on the left of the arrett there. There is a hold just under the right edge of the little roof which is the next key hold. Sorry that someone jacked your bail biner. Sep 3, 2016
The first part was fun for me - until I got to the overhang. At 4'12" I couldn't make the bolt clip at the overhang - and had to move up to the left. After making a blind clip (reaching around the little arete area), I couldn't move over to the right onto the face. Is it my height or did I misread the route? And to whoever grabbed my bail biner, you're welcome. Aug 26, 2016
