Sit start using a small rail and move up to a good right hand and then a higher side-pull. Traverse the boulder on good holds to its left arĂȘte. High step then make committing moves up the slab to the the top.

An outstanding problem that's well deserving of its top 100 status.

The Old and Serious boulder is uphill from the landmark Black Dyke boulder, just above Viper

Great landing for Squamish, though most people will want two pads and a spotter for reassurance as the slab moves are a bit scary.

Very fun, good variety of techniques. I was afraid it would be V3 slab moves at the top, but the slab was pretty forgiving. Jun 4, 2016
