RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Details

Description

Big moves, finger locks, jugs, slopers and crimps. This mini route is action packed and has it all.

Location

The only bolted line on the cliff.

Protection

5 bolts to a bolted anchor. Stick clip or stand on the rock pile to hang the first draw. Begin the actual climbing down and left of the first bolt on a jug under the roof. Using a single carabiner on the 2nd bolt is recommended.

This thing is rad! Still needs some traffic to clean up, but it is worth the hike. I think its 10c, but i suck at grading. first half has a fun boulder problem that leads to a rest. Second half pull on slopey open handed jugs to the anchors. Mar 3, 2015
Odd choice not to put chain on the anchor of this one. Looks like a **lot** of hollow rock on this rig. When the upper bit cleans up from traffic, this might be worth a visit. The setting was fantastic-a really pretty spot. One of the best sunset watching spots in Red Rock, based on my stroll out there today. Feb 28, 2015
