Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

Description

This sporty line with surprisingly good movement follows the brainy feature just to left of Hip Service, sharing its first bolt. Don't like the pump traverse of Hip Service? Take this more direct line. It also shares the anchor of Hip Service. The addition of three new bolts creates a nice warm up for the mostly harder routes featured on this wall.

Location

It is just to the left of Hip Service and shares its first bolt and anchors.

Protection

4 bolts + a 2 point anchor.

Rattlesnakes

Per Top Rope Hero: there was/is a young rattler making her nest at the base of this route on 8/26/15.

The anchors are way off to the side. Don't be a bozo like Jonny and try to rappel clean it, either have someone follow or just lower off like you should on a climb like this--it's not always best to rappel.

I'm not sure if I was just going entirely off route (I climbed left of the bolt line up until the last stretch to the anchors), but this seemed pretty soft at 10a. Almost every move is made from a large jug to another large jug. Decent warm-up. May 15, 2016

Not a terrible climb, but it needs its own anchors. Hard to clean on rappel and dangerous swing on top rope. Sep 22, 2015
