Start with your left hand crimped on the rail, your right on the arĂȘte, and minimal feet. Slap up the arĂȘte to gain better feet then throw for the lip and mantle.


As you approach the summit of Couch Rock go left into a clearing. The boulder is out of sight, but straight ahead about 100 yards.


There is a ditch behind you that can be a potential hazard to your ankles. So, a pad and a spotter.
