Description

Enter chimney with smearing and hooking and body wedging. Snag the ice and mantel. WI 3 ice to finish.

The chimney is not conductive for crampons and requires "smearing" on your spikes. A few minor slots and some back and shoulder technique needed to stay in chimney.

35+ degree temperatures, and ice most likely would have failed during mantle, so I took a controlled disengagement midway up chimney (about 7 feet off the deck)
