Description [Edit]

Climb up the first 20 feet of The Mummy's Curse, then move slightly left and climb the arete and face just to the left of The Mummy's Curse chimney.

Location [Edit]

Start at the base of the obvious, right-most chimney on the east face of the Crypt (the chimney is the line of The Mummy's Curse).

Protection [Edit]

Carry small to medium gear. Rappel with one rope.

If this is the route with the crummy first half to 3 bolts, it ain't 5.9.

Start in the groove, with a low piece that isn't much help. Pick your holds well after that, 'cause I pulled down a head sized piece that could have kilt somebodies. After the cruft, clip the bolt you can't see from the ground and make cool moves on positive holds. Dosey-doe and clip the second bolt. A couple of moves to the third and settle into a (currently) crumbly foot hold. Hold it together until the anchor and you've ticked another "classic". Nov 20, 2016
