Fun slab climbing. Hands get thinner at last 2 bolts. 8+ variation starts 10 feet right.

starts 20 feet left of Safe Harbor Direct

6 bolts w/ anchors

Be aware the easier (5.7ish) variation of this climb veers left before the top slab to the anchors on the left. If one goes straight up (as most do), the crux is between last bolt and anchor and is at least a full grade harder than 5.7+. Well protected though. Don't get suckered right onto the edge, stay left of last bolt. Nov 28, 2016
The warm up routes always seem so hard. Maybe cause your not warm? I would almost hesitate to say this is a 5.8. heck even a gym 5.8 is like walking up a ladder. This route has a solid sketchy start (high first clip, long stretch to the second clip.) some beta might have been good I just climbed onsight and ended up topping out between the anchors, and clipped after I was above the cliff.. Weird.

But still a really fun climb and a great area. Dec 11, 2017
