Description

Starts up the right side of the arete with steepish but straightforward climbing then at a horizontal cut moves left onto the main face and follows a short but perfect 5.6 handcrack. Recommended for a beginning trad leader.

Location

Located a short hike up from the main Little Si trail at the British Iles on Repo I. On the other side of the small gully from Mambo Jambo handcrack.

Protection

Some nuts will protect the lower, more broken portion of the climb and a few medium cams for the top (.75-2 inches). Chain anchors on top.

Let's get one thing straight...the face moves to the anchors on the bolted portion are NOT 5.6, more like 5.9+/5.10 slab moves. Sep 27, 2017

This is all trad, there are no bolts. Many cracks for placements and solid stances. I tried scrambling to the top via the trail/gully to set up the TR anchor on Repo I, but it seemed very dangerous and risky jumping and crawling around on the slopey blocks up top. It actually seems safer to free solo the 5.5 to set up the anchor than to approach from above, but the top is very exposed slab, so that is risky too. In the end my partner just led the 5.6 to set up the TR. There are 2 chain anchors on Repo I. The chain anchor for this route is shared with the TRable 5.5 and 5.7 to the right (in the book), along with the 5.6 trad line First Things Left. Jun 25, 2018
