Description

This is a great climb for beginner ice climbers and beginner lead climbers. It is only a 3 minute hike from the road and has decent side of the road parking. Fun day for beginners.

Location

About 35 miles into Unaweep Canyon towards Gateway. It is in the winding section of road going down and is easy to miss if you're not looking. It is on your right side.

Protection

Screws. Have some stubbies if you want any kind of protection. Take some rock pro to set up a belay at the top. To rappel down you will need to leave something. No fixed pro found, and I downclimbed.
