Access Issue: Yosemite National Park climbing closures and conditions Details

Description

This is a short but super high quality roof crack. The crux is twenty feet of super overhanging ring locks. If it where longer is would be a super classic but even still it's very enjoyable.

Location

On the right side of the Wawona tunnel (coming out). Just follow the cliff downhill for about 200 feet.

Protection

Grey and purple camalots

FA was Ray Jardine, and I think the complete name is A Dogs Roof. Fa was done in 5/77 according to the yellow Meyers guide. Nov 17, 2011

I read somewhere that Jardine actually called the route "Dog's Woof". Just a little trivia lesson Jan 13, 2012
