Yosemite National Park has yearly closures for Peregrine Falcon Protection March 1- July 15. Description

Gets sun in the afternoon. Lots of trees, so it stays kind of shady. A good option if it's a little cold. The rock is a little mungy, but I think this has to do with the fact that not that many people venture up here. Also, it's right next to the road, so if car noises bother you, maybe not a good choice.

Getting There

Head up towards the Wawona Tunnel from the Valley. Go through the tunnel heading west. Park on the right side of the road immediately after exiting the tunnel. Walk back towards the cliff.
