Access Issue: Raptor nesting lifted July 26, 2023 Details

Per Ryan Kuehn, Stewardship Director, Boulder Climbing Community: the seasonal raptor closure on the Third Flatiron will be extended beyond July 31st, 2023. The reopening date is TBD. This has been lifted as of 7/26/23 from the OSMP website per Zachary Henry.

Update from the Flatirons Climbing Council July 2021: due to late nesting of peregrine falcons this year (2021), this area is closed until ~Aug. 12, 2021.

Description

As the name implies, the boulder problem can be a bit painful. Nevertheless, it is a classic up (out) line on the Upper Ghetto and a useful landmark for locating the other problems.

Skin Poppin' Slut is the very overhanging crack/flare on the lower right side of the Upper Ghetto, right over the flagstone landing and about 15 feet in (left) from the staging area.

Sit start with your hands in a good, deep hueco and power out the crack to a funk drop-knee crux where the crack pinches off (you can go with either hand). Work up on painful locks to an awesome horn, from which you can either step off, join the lip traverse, or move left into the cave for link-up possibilities.
