This is about the point in the approach where you'll start to consider moving off-trail to the left. The crag can be seen in the top left. If you follow the trail a few minutes further north, you'll hit the gully that runs up to the base of the wall.
As noted in the comments, take this gully to the base of the buttress for a mile. Don't leave the gully when you get in it, it'll drop you directly at the base.
