5.8 5b 16 VI- 15 HVS 4c 65 ● South Face Sep 10, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. Approach was a little adventurous for sure, took us about 1.5hr. The first 2 pitches were pretty good, but 5-7 were really the money! I took the right 5.9 variation on p7, which was fun but I was short a few slings so it was also runout (good knobs to tie off if I’d had the material tho). Trad 8 pitches Sequoia & Kings… > Moro Rock (SEKI) > S Face
5.10b 6a+ 19 VII- 19 E2 5b PG13 4 ● Ocean King Sep 9, 2024 · 5 pitches. Lead / Fell/Hung. Approach was easy to follow. The first pitch was easy but didn’t seem to have any anchors so we ended up doing a little simulclimbing to get to the top of p2. 3-5 were very good though strangely bolted. I couldn’t do the last few moves after many whips so ended up bailing off the last bolt lol. 5 and 6 can each be rapped with a single 60, 4 would need a 70, and the bottom two raps required double ropes Sport 6 pitches Sequoia & Kings… > Kings Canyon > Roaring River East
5.5 4b 13 IV+ 11 MS 4a 635 ● Northwest Buttress Sep 2, 2024 · 3 pitches. Follow. Approach trail was very well-defined and took 40min. We soloed up to the ledge about halfway and roped up there- felt like the right spot. Kathleen led 3 simul blocks and that got us to the summit. Descent was also easy to follow. About 4.5hr car to car, keeping it casual. Climbing was pretty typical alpine low 5th, but the views and the vibes are good! Trad, Alpine 14 pitches Yosemite NP > … > Cathedral Range > Tenaya Peak
