The top out corner has such great stems you won't even notice the view until you get to the top.

USMC FLAG flying for our Troops during CORONA 2020

Climbed 9/1/17. See previous photo for p1-p3. We did the middle section in two long run-out pitches. Be careful of the larger loose blocks and smaller choss. Once up on lunch ledge get ready for the two money pitches!

Here is some approximation of how I have climbed the route Lakeview.Very little loose rock is encountered.

My partner and I climbed this route on 9/1/17. You can break the pitches up into whatever length works for you. The first and last two pitches have a preferred (obvious) line. Pitch 3 was confusing at first. We went up right and then left, guessing this was the weakness in the overlap. Once on top going left it becomes run-out but is low angle friction slab for 15-20 feet.

Looking up at the final pitch. The flake that leads to the corner is visible as the whitish streak leading up and slightly right from the slab, to the left of the obvious left-leaning crack.

Historical photo now as this is after topping out and sitting on the Old Man's head after getting caught in a massive 10 minute thunderstorm on pitch 6.

After climbing into the fog all day, we finally saw our objective! I was happy that it stayed clear until we reached the summit. This was my first multi-pitch on Cannon and this made for quite the EPIC experience.

The descent surprisingly parallels the edge of the cliff for a good ways, before heading off into the jungle.

Quality of the lower mountain woods on the descent trail. If you should have to bail off this climb into the bushes, you'll be greeted with an impenetrable thicket to thrash through until you reach this trail.

Found on the approach trail. This rock was cleary connected to the Old Man at some point, as seen by the glue stain from efforts to hold it together.

Belay Below the Weissner Corner

This is the water channel (concrete) found at the top of the last pitch. You'll follow this water channel downhill (climber's right) until it turns into the trail that leads to the base of the mountain. At the base, it meets with the Pemi Trail.

Travel along the Pemi Trail until you reach this small foot bridge. It is at this spot that you turn uphill...hard left. I am taking the picture from uphill on the climber's trail, looking back at the bridge.

Top of P3 Belay (Note :Bolted Rap Anchors 20' below, not on route, but escape option)

Looking up and right from the second to last belay. (You don't climb this.) I remember looking at it and thinking "Isn't that interesting how that almost looks man-made?"
