This is a good view of the traverse on the first pitch. Don't start traversing until your hands are in the horizontal crack.
Location of route relative to Durrance (leaning column in lower left). Black X's = mid-pitch hanging rap stations, yellow X's = bolted anchors on ledges. There's a set of rap rings at the base that you can use to rap back to the approach "trail"
There was a little surprise waiting for me in the beginning off-width.

Rick Winters nearing the top of the complete first pitch. This section is actually two cracks in a corner, with plenty of perfect handjams and pro.
The climber is at the traverse. Delicate face moves are made from the wide Bon Homme on the right to a narrow variation crack on the left.
Placing gear deep inside on the approach to the traverse.
Peering around the corner. Perhaps this is the correct traverse line? I traversed higher where it's steeper, but where there is a horizontal crack for gear and your hands.
