Regional Admins

What are Regional Admins?
Regional Admins are volunteers that help organize, review, and improve all the areas, routes, and photos that are submitted by general Mountain Project members. Each volunteer is responsible for one or more regions, states, or countries. Some are guidebook authors, some manage their Local Climbing Organizations, but most of us are just average climbers that are really passionate about helping make Mountain Project the best resource possible. An Admin's job includes reviewing new content as it's submitted to the site, working with contributors to ensure routes and areas are well-described, clarifying and editing text, dealing with Page Improvements, and generally keeping things organized. Regional Admins do NOT moderate the forum.
How do you select Regional Admins?
Regional Admins are chosen based on their passion for sharing data, understanding of site mechanics, experience creating quality content, and strong organizational skills. The site generally avoids adding admins to well-covered regions, though staffing changes occur occasionally. Interested volunteers with editing experience and prior Mountain Project contributions should contact the site via the Contact link.
What if I have a disagreement with a Regional Admin?
Users experiencing disputes with Regional Admins can use the Contact link at the page bottom to explain the situation. The organization will work toward resolution with both the user and the Regional Admin involved.
