I'm looking for possible blog style, in depth pitch analysis and beta for a classic multi pitch in NH, Whitney Gilman Ridge. I'm headed up it soon, and only have one shot as I'm leaving the States soon after. Want to have an information back up in case we get stuck beta wise.

I wanted to see what the fuss was all about, so I tried to read the route description on MP. It seemed like more of a Time Magazine hagiography ("100 Most Influential Eastern Hardmen of Yesteryear [Just Wait, You'll Never Believe #42!"]) than a helpful climbing guide.

There's no harm in seeking out more detailed routefinding and approach/descent beta. It's not like we're retrobolting here.

Tristan, I hope you find the beta you need to climb efficiently and have a good time. And yeah, maybe search a bit more before posting a question lest you ignite the indignation of MP users who are stuck in the office today. ;-)

I feel like there are a few trip reports on the Whitney Gilman page https://www.mountainproject.com/route/105872668/whitney-gilman-ridge It's been years since I climbed it, but even if 5.7 is at your limit, the route finding on this climb isn't hard. You'll always have a giant gully to your right.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
