Backcountry.com not playing nice
|
I just had a chance to browse through this thread. Thanks to the OP and the others for interesting information and commentary. Sure trademarks have to be defended, but there is a line of deliberate trademark infringement vs common sense use of a widely used word. Corporate lawyers often do not seem to understand that consumers care about this line. There are plenty of places to buy gear. I have bought from them in the past (in fact having a package arriving today), but will use other retailers in the future. |

I’m going to start a new gear company and call it black diamond . No one will sue me right? And if someone does they are A holes? Is that how it works? |

Ashort wrote: Pointer to any coverage of that? My understanding is that Amazon asked ICANN to let them have the .amazon top level domain. Amazonian countries, understandably, objected and filed a protest. ICANN sided with Amazon. You can take issue with that but it's not Amazon suing anyone. |

Full disclosure, I didn’t start the GoFundMe & don't know the person who did - I fully support it though & I’m sure they’d appreciate any shares.
