Need "View All" option to load entire thread

I'd think I'm not the first one to advocate for this option. I don't come here everyday and sometimes find an interesting topic that has gone on for many pages. Or sometimes, it could be a long old thread that my Google search lead me to and it is very time consuming to navigate 20 topics a page to see the occasional valuable posts scattered in between uninteresting ones.

I would like to have a "View All" link next to the page navigation symbols so I can load the entire thread to quickly scan interesting replies.

Seems like a good idea.

It also used to be that clicking on a forum thread could automatically put you at the end of the thread. (This might have been an option.) This was a nice feature. I often looked for the latest video posted to the multi-page "Post awesome trad videos here" thread. Now one has to click twice and scan down. Not so much work, I know, but not as nice as before.
(Hope I'm not hijacking Mei's thread here...)

I'd love to have this feature as well.

Jon: You should be able to click the time at the end of the row (e.g. "15 minutes ago") to go directly to the last post. Kind of hidden, but useful.

The option made available for what you want Jon is to "Follow topic". You then get a notification with a link to the first unread post.

Just click on the "Last Post". It's on the far right side of the 'Latest Forum Posts' page

Thanks, and also thanks to Rocknice and Mojo-. It seems obvious now. Sorry for the thread hijack-

Nice cat, Mike!

I'm hijacking my own thread just to bump it. Still wanting the feature. Couldn't be too hard to implement. MP, let me know if you want to hire me as a volunteer developer to make that code change.

Thanks for the suggestion Mei! I'll add it to our backlog and see what the rest of the team thinks.

I vote for this too. Sometimes i'll want to search a thread and see if someone has already given the input I was going to add. I don't want to have to do that 9 times for a 9 page thread.

I searched for "show all" and found at least two older threads asking for this also.

+1 for the "show all" feature

Patrick, did the request get moved from the backlog into the next sprint?

Just a few more posts and we'll need this feature on this very thread!

A recent thread reminded me of this request made a long time ago.

Hey MP development team, here is my periodic nagging...

I'm sure there are golden nuggets buried in this long Tips for moving fast on multi pitch climbs thread, but clicking through them page by page  (12 pages atm) is not the best use of anyone's time probably. If there was a "View All" option to expand the entire thread on one page, I would be able to scan through the page very fast to pick up the good stuff.

Does nobody want this useful (and seemingly simple) feature?

Thanks for the bump, Mei. I will bring this up and see if we can get it added. I'll follow up either way.

Now that I've logged back on, I'm here again for another nudge. You can't accuse me for not being persistent.

Thanks, Mei! Your persistence is appreciated. No update just yet.

I'm with Mei.  It's almost 2023----time for a "View All" feature!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
