Hey all! I’m heading to the New in a few weeks with a group of friends, and we’re looking for some recommendations. We usually climb all the fun 5.8-11s, but we’re definitely down for the classics and a variety of styles. Just figured I’d pop on here and see if anyone has some favorite climbs they’re stoked on and would recommend.

Thanks!

I was just there for the first time and I spent more time than I'd care to admit researching routes beforehand. My 3 favorites of the trip:

Mellifluus

I'm sure a local can give you more/better off the beaten path ideas.

In the sub 11 sport routes, your best bet will be Summerville, Sandstonia at Bubba City, and Cotton Hill. Also Butchers Branch at Kaymoor has some nice climbs as well.

Awesome! This helps a ton. I appreciate the insight from you both. I think were gonna explore all of these and maybe hit some free soloing as well!
