Hi all-has anyone been up there yet this season? How’s the walk off looking? Micro spikes needed? Icy? Conditions of fixed lines on east ledges? Looking to start up later this week. Any conditions reports appreciated.

Wet. The wind is whipping the water from horsetail falls onto the East buttress. But the rest of the valley is nice and warm.

Patsy, are you saying you have rapped EL in the last few days and it is wet? That seems a little surprising but maybe it is so?

OP, sorry can’t help you before this weekend but planning to rap them on Sunday and can post back to this thread in the afternoon, if you’d like.

That’d be great info! We’re not headed up till Sat/sunday. So wouldn’t be coming down till later next week. Also very interested in finding out if we need to bring micro spikes. Haven’t ever gone up this early in the season, was told they may be helpful.  Thank you!

Oh shoot, I read this post wrong!

I thought it said east buttress. I think the east ledges are probably fine.

Corey, all lines are currently clean and in good shape. One fuzzy/almost bare spot but smooth sailing all the way down. Enjoy

Christian, what did you get on? Niad yet?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
