If you could pack up and move somewhere new tomorrow, where would you go?

Just a fun, mid work day question that I have been pondering recently. If finances, children, relationships, etc were not a factor, where would you move solely based on quality of life? Of course, excellent climbing is a bonus. |

I've been happily married for a very long time, but if that relationship tragically ceased to exist, I would move to Genova (Genoa) Italy. All my family is on the East Coast of the US, so I wouldn't be much farther away from them there than I am now. I like cities and it's a nice medium size city. the climate there is good - it's the Italian Riviera. Easy access to the Alps, lots of cragging not too far away. Easy access by train to the other places in Europe that I love. |

Well yeah, excepting world war III, a financial meltdown and no power because of an EMP, I would certainly move to Cortina de Ampezzo. I like sitting in the town square and the pizza! |

Cornudella, Spain. Next to Siurana, Montsant, Margalef, and lifetimes more within a few hr in Spain and France. Escape to the Alps for summers. |

Probably Vancouver BC. Although right now I'm perfectly happy with an east side suburb of SLC. |

Truth is I don't think I would. 45 minutes to the ocean, half hour to the local mountain scene. I like winter, and generally believe that folks should get over the bugs |

I would probably moved back where I was 3 years ago: Lausanne. Or Chamonix itself, if I had unlimited time I could have become an hardcore alpine dude ;) |
