Should Moonboard/Other Fixed Routes/Gyms Be on Mountain Project?

Princess Puppy Lovrwrote: At least for the moonboard, There’s an app for that. The only reason to have it on MP would be ego boosting. That said, it would be interesting to see how people’s outdoor climbing stacks up with their indoor climbing. Mine is shameful, but I won’t say which way ;) How many pages before this thread devolves into name calling? Should we make a betting pool? |

The Beastmaker 20mm edge should definitely be on MP. |

LOL, no! What's next... a trail map for your treadmill run? |

Princess Puppy Lovr wrote: No, the moonboard isn't unique to one location, there is no reason to give beta on where to find it or how to climb it. If you want to track your sends just do it on the generic page. That said yes the app is pure garbage. |

Trevor- that is dumb and you are dumb for clicking post instead of cancel. Name calling has started. |

Which begs the question should mountain project look to gain market share in the indoor climbing space? The tension/grasshopper apps are also quite bad, so why not have all of it in one place? Big Redwrote: I would be quite curious, my metrics make 0 sense but I am a pool noodle person. |

Princess Puppy Lovr wrote: They could but there are some climbing gym apps out there spray, pebble etc. I still don't really understand what the benefit would be for mountain project to make one. Edit- Sorry I should say what benefit would MP bring to the indoor space? |

Princess Puppy Lovrwrote: We are behind the times, heard of strava? My watch even lets me record indoor times. Pelton has virtual runs! Strava is made to be an app where you can compare your performance to others, first and foremost. Mountain project is for sharing route information. Those are two very different things. |

Princess Puppy Lovrwrote: In what ways is the existing MP app better than MB/tension/kilter/grasshopper apps for board climbing? Can it

Princess Puppy Lovrwrote: I always assumed that the people that troll on MP were good at rock climbing. Guess I was wrong. |

You can do that
Is this a function people currently use?
Doesn't MP already do this?
I have never claimed to be good at climbing, if anything I claim the contrary! How hard do I need to climb to impress you? Follow chode rider on youtube if you wanna see me epic punt/struggle up every climb or my insta if you want lowball v0 beta! But you gotta work on your flaming, if you go to my ticklist and look at 5.5, I did not tick a climb called "I did, I did" as onsight/red point/ pink point.
IDK seems like people love to use MP ticklists to trash on others. If anything people are more competitive on MP, I don't think anyone on strava has ever called me the gumby equivalent! |

PrincessPuppy I don't know if it would be a good idea to post your home address (location of your moonboard) on this website |

Jordan Wilsonwrote: This is irrelevant to my accusations that Puppy Lover is an armchair climber and a softie, but I disagree. For sure there are hard V4 benchmarks, but there are definitely also several V6 benchmarks that are harder than any of the V4s. IMO the last 5-10 benchmarks at each grade are 2 grades harder than the first 10 benchmarks at that grade. Also Riccardo is for sure the biggest gate keeper for me. |

I can think of a million reasons. The first being that the Moonboard already has a functioning app that does all the things MP plus more.
I’ll give it 3/10. You’ll get some buy ins, but you could have done better by excluding this point |

I think gyms belong on Concrete Jungle Project |

It's nice that rockclimbing.com is still up and running. |
